Question by Jai Falkingham: In snooker if a player sinks the cue ball and a colour what happens?
i was aiming at the pink and sunk it and the white ball followed, should i get points aswell as the opponent as i sunk the ball?

no..you pocketed the white ball….its a foul of 6 nos as of pink’s….

Its a foul no points for you but six points awarded to your opponent.

You may have potted the pink, but as you had also pocketed the white, the shot was deemed a foul, you recieve no points for it and your opponent is awarded 6 points. Your turn is over, the white is replaced in the “D and your opponent resumes play.

Think about it, if both you and your opponent gets the 6 points there would be no difference in the scoreline. Only your opponent gets the 6 points and you get nothing as you fouled despite the fact that you potted the pink.
