Question by Derek: In snooker, what happens if you are 7 points ahead and its a black ball game but you foul?
Obviously its seven points away. Say if you pot the black but go in off. Is the black then re-spotted? I presume it is.

Yeah the black ball would be respotted and you would be level on points because you have fouled on the black and that gives them 7 points. So then whoever potted the black would win unless there are more fouls made.

In any circumstances where the object ball is potted and the player has fouled in the same stroke, It would have to be re-spotted. UNLESS IT WAS A RED, In which case the red remains potted without any points rewarded.

Yes, if you are on the black and by potting it you would be equal points with your opponent and there are no points left then obviously you have tied, you re-spot the black and the first to pot it wins that frame, the same thing happens when you pot the black and the white goes in off and its equal points, hope i helped.
