  1. Hi Neil,I find your clips very helpfull, thanks.
I have a question about cue action.I know the cue has to go through straight, not only sideways but also not rocking up or down either.I have watched a lot of shots played by the pros and their upper arm and elbow actually drops when delivering the cue in order to make it go through straight. Is this something I need to consciously practise,or is the straight delivery more to do with the grip changing.Maybe show a clip from the side and back

Whenever, I try to achieve position on a color ball, after playing the red. At most times I achieve it. I continue my break with two or three reds & colored balls alternatively. But, the problem for me is when I try to pot the big valued balls. I can confidently pot three reds & three small valued balls with good confidence, but whenever I try to play a black, pink or blue. I miss horribly. I’ve been playing since 5 months. I’ve started playing in July of this year. How do I change my attitude?

    I love Neil’s little catchphrases:
    ‘if it is that’
    ‘nice and simple’
    ‘just potted it nicely’
    ‘alls I’ve done’

Keep up the good work Neil!! Love the vids

It’s also good practicing on the pink and black because the reds always seem easier to pot for me.I get a bit nervous on the other colours but i’m still new to snooker.

This was helpful, I’ve often tried this with all or most of the reds, but this is a more effective way of practicing, just with a handful of reds and two colours. You make it look easy! Thom

  23. Hello Neil. I’ve watched all of your videos from 1 – 20 in the last hour. Really good stuff. I’m gonna watch them all! Thanks for taking the time to make all these videos. I am looking to take my game to the next level as I’ve recently joined a club snooker team, and all of these videos will help me do that now. I can’t wait to get on a table and try some of these techniques.

    Cheers

this clip was done several months ago ……before i did the clip YOU requested pro tips 47…….the fact i miss in this clip …….actually works because it allows me to explain how the practice works when players trying this, miss themselves……..i could do all the clips so that i’m perfect and never miss……..so i apologise for not being perfect and missing a few pots ……..however all my clips are correct …….so thank you for continuing to watch my clips trevor and commenting neil
