HI Neil how r u?I just was wanting to know with the stance do you put your right foot in line with the line from the cue ball to the aim point of the object ball?

But surely we can’t aim the *center* of the cue ball at the “aim-point” on the object ball (except full ball)? The line of aim should be such that *some* point on the cue ball comes in contact with the aim-point on the object ball. Say, in a “1/4 ball” shot, the line of aim (containing the center of the cue ball) would lie a quarter thickness outside the object ball. Sorry if I asked a stupid question, but I’ve been a little confused about this.

Hi Neil. Thanks for your quick reply, it just sounds too easy to aim for the middle of the object ball no matter what the angle of the cue ball is.

    Many Thanks
    Frank.

hello frank …….its what ever works for the individual ……..people who have a good potting eye find it easier with 1/4 etc …….where as players who find potting difficult find it easier with something to aim at………….they both work its which one works for the individual………….thanks for the great comment frank

Hi Neil. in your visualisation clip you state that for potting you imagine a line from the pocket to the centre of the object ball and where the line comes out the other side that is your line of aim with the cue ball. does that apply to every angle, if so would it not be better to teach that instead of 1/4 1/2 and 3/4 ball.

    Many Thanks
    Frank.

  13. so, you fine the line of object ball to pocket, white to object ball, then hit the object ball on the point where those lines meet, with the centre of the white?
