Cue Sticks How It Make Billiard Player To Be Efficient

Article by Paul Potter

Billiard or cue sport is one of popular sport tournaments. Outside the pool hall where tournament is held, billiard is also popular in local areas. And being the popular sport, many pool halls can be seen as you go around the city.

If you are one of the fanatics of this sport, you might as well want to be the best at this because of so many reasons you have in yourself. And you need constant practice and learn techniques in order to get the level of expertise you ever want. One of the factors that affect the efficiency of a player is the convenience it feels using the pool table accessories most especially the cue stick. Cue sticks may have the standard size, length and weight to follow for a certain level but still they vary in sizes, length and weight. It comes in two forms: the one-piece type and the two-piece type.

If you don’t have your personal pool table and billiard supplies but still want to own cue stick you can use when you play in some of the commercial pool halls near you, you better choose the right one which you think you will be comfortable with. You check the length as well as the weight and size if it would help you to be efficient in playing.

Also think about the forms. If you want to carry your cue stick whenever you go to the public pool hall, you better choose the two-piece type and purchase a pool cue case so that you can easily bring it anywhere you go.

Playing billiard can be a great pastime hobby with family or friends. And being able to know the importance of the pool table accessories and the function will also help you enjoy the game even more as well as help you to play it efficiently.

Is coaching required to become a top level snooker player?

Question by opTreadstone: Is coaching required to become a top level snooker player?
I can pick up things usually very quickly and generally i do have a so called “natural talent” to learn well. But training extensively in my local club, would be possible to reach top level/pro if I put my mind to it- right?

I’m 17 and already play pool frequently at a good standard. I love snooker and pool but I feel it may be time to move onwards and upwards…

Thanks in advance :D

Extremely unlikely I’m afraid, all the top players today were knocking in centuries when they were ten years old, I remember Steve Davis telling me that he practiced 8 hours a day, that was back in 1981, you could become a very good amateur though and still enjoy the game.

My parents had a 5 table snooker hall and I started playing when I was 14 and could play whenever I wanted, the best I managed was the last 16 in the Welsh Amateur Championship, I’m now 69 and still love the game.
